Dreams Come True is the title of Hey!Say!JUMP’s 2nd single to be released on May 21st, 2008. Once again Hey!Say!JUMP will support the national male and female volleyball teams of Japan in their attempt to qualify for this year’s Beijing Olympics. The preliminaries will be held from May 17th to June 8th in Japan.
The limited edition of the single will feature only that one song, plus a DVD with the PV and making-of. The regular edition features two additional songs, Oretachi no Seishun [”Our Youth”], and Chance to Change, the theme song from the High School Volleyball championships held earlier this year.

It is now officially confirmed that Heisei Families will be cancelled at the end of this month. The show that had been running since October 2007 will be replaced by a new 1-hour program called 時空間☆世代バトル 昭和×平成 SHOWはHey! Say! [jikuukan☆sedai batoru showa × heisei SHOW wa Hey!Say!], which roughly translates to “Space-Time☆Generation Battle Showa×Heisei SHOW wa Hey!Say!”.The new show will air weekly on NTV, Sundays from 11:45am to 12:45pm, starting April 6, 2008.
So far the only Hey!Say!JUMP members scheduled to appear on the program are Nakajima Yuto, Yamada Ryosuke and Morimoto Ryutaro. Details as to what the show will be about are not yet available at this time, but “generation battle” implies that there will be some sort of generation battle (duh!), i.e. games of some sort to be played between the Heisei boys and members of the Showa generation.

It has been announced today that Hey!Say!JUMP will star in a commercial for the video game DECA SPORTA デカスポルタ Wiiでスポーツ”10″種目!. The CM will start airing nationwide on March 11th. The game for Nintendo’s Wii console will be released on March 19th and lets players test their skills in 10 different sports: Beach Volleyball, Soccer, Badminton, Basketball, Archery, Curling, Snowboarding, Figure Skating, Supercross, and Cart Racing. For the CM each JUMP member will be dressed up to represent one of the 10 sports. Yabu, who will represent soccer, is quoted as saying “I’ve always wanted to star in a game commercial, so this is a dream come true”.

Hey!Say!JUMP will have a total of 12 spring concerts at Osaka Castle Hall in April and at Yokohama Arena in May. Takaki Yuya won’t be there as he will be busy shooting Gokusen 3.

Tickets will be between 5,500円 and 5,800円.
Both venues are approximately the same size with Osaka Castle Hall holding up to 17,000 people and Yokohama Arena some 16,000. Assuming all concerts will be sold out Hey!Say!JUMP will play to a total of 197,000 people.

Kamenashi will play Kosaku Hatanaka, a boxer in the drama adaptation of “One Pound Gospel”. The manga by Rumiko Takahashi features a talented boxer who becomes a professional at the age of 19. However he often loses because he cannot control his appetite. Thus becoming heavier. The story continues when after losing a match Kosaku visits a church where he meets a nun.

Akanishi Jin and Taguchi Junnosuke will host Nippon Broadcasting System’s 33rd Radio Charity Musicthon. The Musicthon will start at noon on December 24 and will end at noon December 25. The netowrk believed that the group would attract many listeners. Many listeners also suggested that they would like Kat-tun Style to host the event. Other members of Kat-tun will also participate in the Musicthon.

Hey!Say!JUMP finish the first week of their debut on #1 in the Oricon charts with app. 247.000 copies sold. In doing so they became the 13th artiste to reach the #1 spot with a debut single, and the first since KAT-TUN 1 year and 8 months ago. Other artistes who accomplished that achievement include NEWS, Arashi, KinKi Kids, Otokogumi, Shonentai and Hikaru Genji. With that, Okamoto Keito and Okamoto Ken’ichi became the first parent & child couple ever to both reach #1 with a debut single.
